"The first step toward saving the rainforests is to learn about them. Through reading we can explore the wonders of the rainforests without ever visiting them. Once we learn about them we need to share our knowledge with others."

This Kapok Tree seedling will eventually tower over 100 feet into the Bocas del Toro sky! The dream has become closer to reality! The future
TRW  Arboretum encompasses almost 50 acres (23 hectares) of virgin rolling tropical rainforest woodland, replete with tropical species of butterflies, mountain streams, keel-billed toucans, macaws, three-toed sloths, howler monkeys, bearing aged guanabana, lime & cacao trees, bamboo, and numerous bromeliad, banana, and heliconia species.  In the midst of our first encounter with this terrestrial treasure, we realised very quickly that we were blessed with the discovery of a lifetime and also recognised that our project here, as we envisaged it, could well become a pre-eminent legacy for the future of our often-ravaged mother earth!

Via this "web-portal," follow along with our vision for the unfolding metamorphosis of this pristine Central American rainforest, as it GROWS more lush each passing year, and ever more rich in species of plants and animals! A new Garden of Eden?  Just maybe!  We will welcome you to share this wondrous experience with us!

The Overwhelmingly Beautiful Natural Environment That Will Become The World Class Tropical Rainforest Bio-Reserve Of TropicRiverWoods, At Bocas del Toro Province, Panama!

"Rain forests cover less than two percent of the Earth's surface, yet they are home to some 50 to 70 percent of all life forms on our planet. The rain forests are quite simply, the richest, oldest, most productive and most complex ecosystems on Earth"

"This is a period unlike any period in history, because now we are simultaneously pushing against so many of the Earth's natural limits, all at the same time, whether it's the sustainable yield of oceanic fisheries, of range lands, of forests, of aquifers. All these resource constraints will affect the quality of life in the next century. The over-riding challenge as we move into the new century is to build a global economy that is environmentally sustainable, one that will permit economic progress to continue, one that will not slowly destroy its support systems, which our existing economy is doing. How our children live, how our grandchildren live, will depend very much on whether or not we're successful."

Lester Brown, President: WorldWatch Institute
